A quick view of my Plant-happy Bedroom
Since I promised myself I would be blogging everyday and have clearly missed quite a few, I wanted to do a quick post of some pictures of my bedroom. I consider my bedroom to be a sanctuary, a haven, a place to get away from everything in the outside world. And ever since plants have been introduced to my life, I never ever want to leave my room. I spend 90% of my day here (and a good portion is dedicated to care of all these lovelies). If you haven’t introduced plants to your home I highly recommend doing so. It is a game changer for sure. Taking care of plants is meditation and gives you a purpose to get out of bed everyday even when you don’t want to. Not only do they take toxins out of the air but they are beautiful and create a relaxing atmosphere. The benefits of having plants indoors are endless. After I clean up for my guests arriving shortly I will be posting more about specific plants, how to care, which ones are easy, etc. So make sure to stay tuned for lots of good information that I wish someone had told me at the beginning of my plant journey.
PS. Once you start, you will never stop. It is for sure an addiction but hey, at least its a healthy one!
I have utilized some driftwood that I have been collecting and hung it from the ceiling to train some of my vines over it. Hopefully soon I will have a green canopy!
Letting some of my babies get some sun!
I installed some very simple shelves to that I could get more plants in the window area.
Wow – that is plant friendly. The room I’m writing from now is similar.

Yes, it surely is! I wouldn’t even dream of beginning to count them all, I am sure the number would scare me. And I couldn’t even get them all in the photos. They are absolutely everywhere and I wouldn’t have it any other way! I would love to see a picture of your room, I just love admiring other peoples plants.

Thank you so much! Wouldn’t go as far as saying I have a green thumb quite yet. Its almost been a year since I began my plant journey and if I can keep them alive for a year then I would be more inclined to say I have a “green thumb” or a “thumb working in progress” And it most certainly is a sanctuary, my heaven đŸ™‚

Wow! That is an amazing selection of plants. I like having plants inside but have avoiding putting them in my bedroom – mainly because my plants seem to have lots of gnats…how do you deal with bugs?

WOW, this is impressive! I imagine you spend tons of time watering. Just curious, where will you be going to school? There is a community college a mile from me with a neat looking horticultural program. I was tempted to sign up but realized by the time I paid off loans, my son would be heading to college, so that’s a no go.

yea you are MOST definitely right on that! Some people say they would hate that because of all the sun blasting in. But I quite enjoy not having to set an alarm since I can count on the sun shining in on my bed and waking me up every morning before 8. Perfect time to get up and tend to all of my babies and I would have it no other way đŸ™‚
